Ford Supermodel: Danica in Tribal Beat

Every PFW, its haven for models here, and luckily Ms. Danica Magpantay, Ford Super Model of the World 2011 is here in the Philippines as well. This another privelege that I took from a very accommodating Mr. Allan Acosta from CalCarrie's. Aisa Ipac loves Danica so much that wanted to costyle with me. We initially wanted this to be very Tribal inspired editorial, more of prints, very ethnic, bosquejo-ish, raw but with a modern touch. The Tribal Beat editorial team is:

Photography: Ryan Sulit

Styling: Jear De Mc Cuttac & Aisa Ipac

Styling associates: Bianca Sing, Keigh Jalbuena, Kristin Cornejo & Ava Te

Make Up: Joyce Platon + Hair: Dave Gnora
Nails: Beauty & Butter
Model: Danica Magpantay of Cal Carrie's
Location: PSID Exhibit

Aisa and I split the 8 layouts, and here is my spreads:

I want to escape from the wild print thus, I wanted to focus on the tribal print clutch ;)

Very raw, sugarcane effect, labor in action...

Aisa's Set:

I love the eccentric beauty of Danica that makes the shoot very editorial! Magazine na to!

Congratulations to the team, and for more behind the scene actions, here is the video link:

Enjoy! Good News, last of my pendings ;) New post over the weekend!

Fashion Depot Mag: Modern Vintage

Aisa Ipac, Associate editor of Depot Fashion Magazine, and a close friend of mine, offered if I can style for the main editorial spread. I accepted the chance and of course, I wanted to pump up the page and book the team.

In some cases, networks, and friends come in handy in doing kinda low-budget yet well executed project, and this is really one of those best illustration that truly passion weighs more than finance.

The concept is timeless, classic pieces, or vintage-ish clothing with a modern twist, that can survive years or even decades, we called it Modern Vintage. There are some reference to iconic trends in each era and making it chic and very now.

Check out our final layouts, and with the cover featuring Dimple, styled by bess Aisa.

Summer Print: Pre-summer Feat

I just love this specific editorial we did that I felt it so simple, and I wanted to feature the upcoming trends of Homme SS2012. Prints and shorts, where I called this as short coming focusing on the short itself and the prints, of course.

Check out our collaboration, with fashion photographer Enzo Mondejar.

I bought this top on thrifted shop and supposed to be a gift to my mom. I love the print so much that I claimed it instead, hahaha. Binilhan ko na lang si Mama. ;)

To break the print domination, I inserted printed shirt for a more casual look.

I just love the treatment and the feel of the final result. Cheers to the entire team!

To die for print!

I used the top reversed! and it looks more print oriented.
