Celebrity Living Mag ft. Ronna Manansala

I'm so blessed that Celebrity Living Magazine keeps booking me for a lot of projects now.  Different artists and celebrities, where I got a wonderful experience of knowing more not just about fashion but arts and a persona itself.

I've been in a family of musicians, De Mc Cuttac, where my Grandfather Julian De Mc Cuttac is famous in Bacolod, and almost in Negros as a violin player.  A teacher, a pastor and a perfectionist violin player.  My sister Dore, was amongst the lucky one to be taught by my Lolo Julian, and some are my cousins and me, just the basic Twinkle, Twinkle little star :)

So when, I heard that Ronna Manansala is the artist, I researched about her so just want to know her prior the shoot.  During the interview, I somehow, see myself, kinda similar to her passion.  She is the grand daughter of the late painter and a national artist Vicente Manansala.

Check out the BTS, with the fab and gorgeous, my assistant Kat Valdez.
We must love the red wall of paintings.

Kat with the hair and make up team.
Ronna loves collecting Troll dolls, and its to ADORABLE!

Check out below the actual release in Celebrity Living Mag August issue.  Grab your copy now!
Thanks Topshop for the head to toe look and Love Diva for the fab accessories.
It's a great pressure to her as well, keeping up her grand father's legacy, but what marked to me personally is living her passion.  I can relate to this, where my grand father, yes, so strict, but instill a great attitude of discipline, perseverance and a strong heart to really be successful in my field, though not in music, but probably on road I'm taking or will take in the future.
One of my faves.  I noticed that all her paintings majority in women in great emotions, where she also shared that one painting was remarkably done during her lowest moment.
I just wish the artists, painters will be given more acknowledgements in our times.  Our Phil setting might not be a perfect arena for this but I think we have our local talents, who really worked with dedication and passion.  The feature, interview, exhibit helps, but are we promoting this as well.

People definitely will support artist but without visibility, ad, and a little help,  this will definitely push to another level.

Cheers and I salute the artist!
Mabuhay kayo!

Bryan Termulo 2nd Album Shoot: Hanggang Ngayon

Last May 2, I was requested to style Bryan Termulo's sophomore album, Hanggang Ngayon.  I asked Kaye if she can style with me and here's the BTS and the final layouts that is seen on Bryan's album.

We were so early that we had some time playing around on the set, the shoot is held in Bellhaus and everybody is super uber friendly there.

Check out Kaye's jamming session kuno! Lols.

Check out our cool pulls from Top brands! Love it! We still manage to improvise a rack out of chairs and trays. Good job, Kaye! :)
 Our Accessories set.
Kaye just can't stop clicking, these vintage cameras are really amazing.

1st Layout is the album cover, they wanted it very simple, manly, natural, that suits on Bryan's personality. Directing, and helping out on the poses.
Testing some other poses, and experimenting on the sakit-batok-pose.

Rox Puno is the photographer, and he is so cool to work with.
Since, I'm wearing red shorts that day, I had to take a photo with Bry on pants naman.
Well, after the shoot, Kaye and I are rushing to another shoot, we stop over for a milk tea for some breather. Japan japan peg muna dito while waiting for the teas.
The cover that make it! Here's the final outtakes.

Experimenting the pastel trends with a suit.

Thanks alot Topman - head to toe! :)
Rox wanted to play around with the environ, shooting in unfinished room.  Love the deconstruction look.

This top creates a visuals that make the model/person so muscled.  I should have bought this in a smaller size as well :) Too late, no longer available in the shops.
 The Bruno Mars inspired look.
Thanks alot and until next adventure guys! I can't wait to share with you on my upcoming big projects! Sharing the blessings as well to my friends-costylists.

Top 10 Feel Good Music = Good Vibes

When in these times of challenge and hardship I know it's something that made us into realization and whatever it is hope every one can reflect and act on it.

When I'm depressed or low, I tried to look for a motivation or something that will pick me up.  The usual comfort I do before is food, no wonder I gain weight before, secret confession of an emotional eater huh!

I just love Ipods, or any handy mp3 players, never actually plan to buy one until my previous company gave us an Ipod.  I started to enjoy music more in travel, don't want to hear annoying conversation, or whatever purpose you may want to kill time.  I UBER listed my top 10 picks and try to hear it in every time you feel bad vibes or depressed and it really, really helped!

TOP 10 Feel Good Music (Video Insert)

1. Therapy - India Arie ft. Gramps Morgan

Introduced to me by Paul G. Still my top 1 in my list.  Hopefully, I found my therapy soon as well :)

2. You Gotta Be - Des'ree

I just love her! You can try - Life, What's Your Sign, or just buy the 1st 2 albums!

3. Pocketful of Sunshine - Natasha Bedingfield

Get ready, she has alot of inspiring pieces.  Listen to Neon lights, Weightless, Touch, and the Pantene commercial song, Unwritten! A song I dedicated to my bessy Aisa Ipac because probably she's so quirky, funny and never a boring moment.

4. Spirit Indestructible - Nelly Furtado

It's her latest vid, I could have picked Powerless or I'm Like a Bird , but the beat of this and the vowels ( e, a, o, u)  synch is genius! Welcome back Nelly!

5. Glorious - Natalie Imbruglia

Quite surprised actually she has this one, since I'm used to her sad, break up songs! Please release an album babe, we missed you!

6. Good Time - Owl City + Carly Rae Jepsen

Cool tandem, yes, they are not doing the phone hand sign, whatever, lols.

7. Domino - Jessie J.

Don't you just love Jess! From Price tag, to Domino to Laserlight! You can use this also to perk you up in the gym mode!

8. At Your Side - The Corrs

This is more of friendship actually, where there is a certain stage in your life where you just wanna live with your friends, and you love the support system. My former bestbud - Rombs Luzon, whom I really fought for and really  stand and hope we can back it up! Cause I really don't want end up with bad endings.

9. Got Your Back - TI ft. Keri Hilson

When you're high, when you're low, I'll promise,
I'll never let you go, Say I got you back boy,
Keep my swag, keep looking good for you,
keeping looking hood for you, shawty if you don't know!

10. Firework - Katy Perry

Torn between Teenage Dream, and Last Friday Night, but the vid breaks the score! Go Katy Purrrr!

11. At the beginning - Donna Lewis + Richard Marx

And my song to my buddy Sheryll Umagtang! We've been super close friends for 7-8 years now and counting.  We are support on each - GOT YOUR BACK thing huh!

It's always refreshing and very inspiring to find strength in family, friends and in any form where you can shake off the dust and just go back to the path, it might not straight and easy but it will with just little of motivation based not on other as well but built on your ownself, after all when everything disappoints you, you yourself can choose the attitude that will definitely determine and direct you to that path.

Until next time!
Ciao!

MB: Raw Edges

Last month, Christine Lorico, photographer, texted me if we can do a testshoot for James Goodfellow, and it's always hard to resist Tin because she really delivers, always! I say yes, though I have 2 shoots that day in collaboration with Aisa Ipac in Meg Magazine, and tremendous pullouts for Celebrity Living Magazine.

I told Tin that I'll make it cohesive so we can tell a story and submit to Manila Bulletin Fashion Section.  By, the way, she's the fastest editor, and hardcore beating the deadline photographer, I ever know!

Died when I saw the final layouts, and here it is!

Check out the release today, August 4, Saturday, released in Manila Bulletin Fashion Section.

What's good in stocked items, in case of unplanned/on the spot shoot, you can use your stuff especially men.  I just got to pull few pieces, one designer -Ulysses King, and Aldo Accessories

I just love everyshot that I need to post 2 photos per layout! It's always hard to choose when Tin submits alot of great photos! Lols!
Love this black and white contrast against the door!

Never used this tattered top with straps from Philosophy Men.  It's no longer available in the Phils though, but they have edgy/cool stuff!
 James can really emote!

Super thanks to Ulysses King for the Holiday 2012 pieces!
Just love the grooming as well c/o Anton Patdu, our reunion after a long time :)
Thanks Oxygen for such cool RTW!
