MB: Biggest Fall Trends 2012

After our HUGE hit on the MENSWEAR collab with Argie. This time, Aisa and I need to make a comeback.  Here it is! SHARP TURNS: FALL BIGGEST TREND 2012, out today in Manila Bulletin, Friday, Sep. 28!

But Wait! Remember this in 2011?

We did an ICONIC DUO theme.  A collaboration of 2 greatest artists in a fashion editorial - Rihanna + Eminem, Madonna + Britney, etc.  On this editorial, we wanted contrast, and of course, we don't want to make any controversy here so as much as possible we want to make BONGGA Nikita as well.

For this year, we wish to execute a FALL TRENDS editorial, in our very own interpretation.

But wait, photo muna of the styling team :)  Our very own utilitarian inspired look during the pullout!

Check out our best picks!

Our make up is inspired by Christian Dior Couture Fall 2012. Silver yellowish for Nikita, lower part, and something with color for Pauline.

Here it is our very own interpretation of the trends!

I.  RENAISSANCE STAGE - a brocade, lace, embroidery, baroque.

II. UTILITARIAN EGO - name it, anything that has to to with military, or men-in-uniform!

III. OVERSIZED  - huge ball skirt, and huge coat.

IV. GOLD DIGGER - Viva Glam! Sequined, embellished or just plain shine and shimmer!

IV. VELVET SKY - its the new leather for this season.

VI: SUITED UP - Majority of runway shows exhibit coats, suits, and more tailoring. Yes, Katchie (hairstylist), and Hanna (make up artist) in the layout!

VII: PATTERN MAKING - fenced, patterned, printed as pj's, just some of the common association to this trend.

Check out out cool BTS Video made my Rizzi and Phy.  Thanks alot girls, you're the best!

Celebrity Living Mag: Sen Chiz Escudero

It's September, and I'm so excited to share with you my latest feature in Celebrity Living Magazine.  I styled Sen. Chiz Escudero last July with a preview on the cover!

Check it out! Gwen Zamora on the cover!
Editorial Assistant Mitcelle Carag interviewing Sen. Chiz.  At first, I'm so intimidated because of his strong personality and of course, his intelligence.
His very cozy, and classy Filipino-themed home.

As the shoot progresses, I feel a little comfortable with him already since he started cracking jokes in between shots and candidly asked funny questions.
Thanks to the styling team :) I MISSED YOU KAT!
The dolled up team :) with Cai :)
John and Joy - photographer, and art director
So ecstatic as well, since this issue we are all featured here my bessy Aisa Ipac and our very own intern, and now, full bloomed stylist Kaye Awatin.  We are so proud of you gurl! :) Check out the stylists contributor section :)
Also, the inlay photos include the behind the scene, and so ngiting ngiti during this time, where Sen. Chiz rummage my pulls to buy clothes.  He ended up  buying 2 Zara tops and 2 Blue Inc - cool choice! :) Marketing should be giving me discounts, I'm always getting their items sold! Lols!

Lastly, I'm also featured in the contributors page, how neat is that! Thanks alot Celebrity Living for the feature.  So blessed and honored to be part of the Sept issue!

My shoutout thanks to my former QA Manger Erwin Perez as well, for allowing me to take leaves every Monday to attend my fashion styling class in Fashion Institute of the Philippines - Ortigas last Aug 2010.  Syempre, my entire QA and Risk team - Dani, Pat, Ken and Cez, for covering my shifts while I'm studying :)  I'm truly grateful to the people around me! God bless you guys!

Check out the final layouts, as seen on the magazine! Hope you like it :)

Uniqlo Fall 2012 Fashion Show

Last March, Manila Bulletin's Carlos Dela Pasion, called if I can style for Uniqlo for their first press release.  I say yes, and I tag along Kaye Awatin on this.  Remember this?

After a huge opening here in Philippines last June, APMR's Account Director Ms. Cheryl Lim called me to style for Uniqlo's Fall Fashion Show, which was held last August 22, 2012.  The client liked our work from MB's Press Release thus book me again for the project, and definitely I need to tag Kaye Awatin for this.

I booked a team Argie, Bianca, Kai, including me and Kaye, of course.  I called bessy Aisa as well, since I believe she's from a trip, and luckily she'll be arriving that day, no sleep, from Baguio! Now, Team, check!

Prior to the actual runway show, I meet the entire AMPR team and the clients as well.  We have some fashion show look guides and need to present it on the actual models.  Fitting, instructions, presentation were done and finally, next day THE FASHION SHOW!  Each Presentation is categorized on the design and types of material used in the clothing, well after all Japanese are known for quality, technology and functions.
Check out, the racks of clothes for us to choose from:

ULD - Ultra Light Down, very light weight actually, you can really feel the soft texture - imagine goose feathers!
Kaye and I need to run after presentation to pull shoes from JANILYN Glorietta 5.  Thanks alot Ms. Cecil for such a great help!
Kaye and I need to be in the area around 8am, though the fashion show will start at 3pm.  We need to style 6-7 mannequins displayed across the runway.

I styled 2 male mannequins, and distributed the rest to the team for them to style as well.  I styled the mannequin in maroon pullover with cap, and the checkered LS below.
Knitwear - styled by Argie and Aisa

Designers Invitation Project - Uniqlo collaborated with well-known Japanese designers to create pieces that is easy, chic and everyday wear.
Poncho
Menswear:  Thank you Flying Dutchman for providing fab shoes on all the male mannequin-display and on the runway show.

Getting ready for the adrenaline rush, the team had to have a quick shot before the ngarag look :) Backstage of the runway.  Organize kami oh ah!

The show is hosted by MYX's VJ Bianca Roque and I styled her chic outfit :) Check it out, and let me know what you think?

Its Autumn-Winter colors in plum, maroon, dark orange, gray, navy, etc.

I can definitely wear this!
The AIRism in gray top - so light, so easy that you wont feel you're wearing one
Love stripes, but afraid it will create wider look? then use it as inner wear with a button down pullover or a deep V or scoop outerwear.
Poncho!
Knitwear!
